JV Basketball
The junior varisty boys basketball team, led by Coach Craigo, finished 10-0 in the region and 12-1 overall.
Tiny Trotters
The basketball game between The Officials (coaches, staff and policemen) and the Tiny Trotters raised $500 for the Blue Flashes Booster Club.
Softball Support
Anyone wishing to be a sponsor of the Calhoun Falls Lady Blue Flashes softball team can contact Heather Barnes. She is taking orders for banners to be hung at the field. Cost is $125.
Sports Update
Application reviews have begun for the new football coach at Calhoun Falls high School, and applications are still being accepted. As of January 8, six applications had been received. Principal Tommy Hollingsworth and administrators Dr. Ivan Randolph and Kathy Stevenson are reviewing the applications. A hiring recommendation may be made at the School Board's February meeting. The job description can be viewed on the school district's website.
The baseball team is coached by Kyle Hoover and Mike Alewine. The softball team is coached by Ricky Holland and Heather Barnes.
Holiday Tournament
The Calhoun Falls High School Lady Flashes varsity basketball team won the Crescent Holiday Tournament on December 28-29 at Crescent High School. They beat Crescent 51-31 and Liberty 58-36.
Girls Basketball
Two former Calhoun Falls Lady Flashes are now coaching the varsity and JV squads. Risha Campbell Bomar is the head coach and Sonya Turman Ashmore is assisting.
